It’s September 12, 2017 and we are at the Merrill Distributing Fall Show! What a great time we had – it’s really one of our favorite shows!
Merrill Distributing is one of our oldest customers. They started buying product from us, when no one gave us a shot. We have attended this show in one form or another for 15 years now, and it shows! It’s like going to a great family reunion! Many of these retailers have been carrying our products for many, many years. You develop friendships that last for many years.
We also have great relationships with upper management at Merrill, and the sales team as well.
This show is so much fun, we love it! And we sold a lot of product too!
Old Trapper is such a staple item for Merrill Distributing. Their sales team is selling the 10 oz bags of jerky by the stacks now. A four case stack of 10 oz bags. 2 Old Fashioned, 1 Teriyaki, and 1 Peppered.
This year, in addition to Old Trapper, we had Coop’s Pretzels in our booth for the second time. That was a big hit. We had a few new manufacturers with us.
ChewMax is our dog treat convenience store line and has been in Merrill Distributing for about 3 months now and the customers were saying they already had the displays. Dianne, one of the owners, joined us at the show. She answered many questions and sold a lot of product.
First time for Pop’d Kerns as well. Many customers had never heard of this “cross between popcorn and corn nuts.” It comes in three flavors, Original, Ranch, and Cheddar. We sold cases and cases of this item.
Every year we look forward to the Merrill Distributing shows! 2018 show season will be upon us soon.
